Frequently asked questions

Short, honest answers about how Vyexa turns long videos into vertical clips. Cannot find yours? Write to us via the Contact page.

Clip count and quality

Why did Vyexa find 23 clips when I asked for 30?

The number you choose is a ceiling, not a quota. Vyexa searches for real moments, it does not pad the result to hit a number. The 30 you requested is a set of time windows in which moments could be; our AI checks each one and some turn out to be filler, repetition or a cut that does not stand alone. Our goal is not to cut as many clips as possible but to deliver clips that are good. If all candidates are good, you get all of them; if not, you get the best ones. So 23 strong clips are the result, not a failure.

How can I get more clips from the same video?

Use the "Find more" action on the finished job: it looks for moments that were not used yet instead of repeating the old ones. You can also generate again with a different clip length or a different strategy (for example humor, education or podcast). Vyexa will tell you honestly when there is nothing new worth cutting.

How does Vyexa choose the moments?

It transcribes the speech, reads the story of the video and scores candidate segments for a complete thought, a hook, a payoff and energy. Strategies differ by content type: a comedy clip should end on the punchline, a lesson should be a mini-lesson, a sports clip should include the peak. For videos without much speech it falls back to audio energy and scene changes.

How long are the clips?

You choose a length range before generating. Vyexa tries to end each clip on a finished thought rather than cutting at an exact second, so lengths can vary a little inside the range.

What happens if I let AI decide the number of clips?

Vyexa picks the count from how many strong moments the video actually contains. A tight 10-minute talk may give a few clips; a long stream or podcast can give dozens.

One clip is not good. What can I do?

Open it in the editor to change the start and end, subtitles, title, layout or style, or regenerate it. Fixing a clip you already have does not require a new upload.

Long videos, streams and sources

Can I turn a 3–5 hour Twitch VOD into clips?

Yes. Long streams and VODs are exactly the case where finding the best moments by hand is painful. Upload the file or paste a link, pick a layout (Stream puts the webcam on top and gameplay below) and Vyexa returns the best moments. Expect fewer strong clips than the number of windows you asked for: we give the best, not the most. On the Free plan a single source can be up to 90 minutes; paid plans accept longer videos.

Which sources can I use?

Upload a video file (up to 3 GB) or paste a link, for example a YouTube video. Private videos, live streams that are still running and premieres cannot be imported.

Can I upload audio only, like a podcast without video?

Vyexa cuts video into vertical clips, so it needs a video. Upload the video recording of the episode.

What are source minutes?

Source minutes count the length of the videos you upload or import, once per upload. Re-generating clips from the same upload does not spend them again. Free: 200 source minutes a month, Creator: 1,500, Pro: 4,000.

How long does generation take?

It depends on the length of the source and the current queue. Short videos take minutes, multi-hour VODs take longer because every minute is transcribed and analysed. You can close the tab: the clips will be in your dashboard when they are ready.

Subtitles, titles and layouts

Does Vyexa add subtitles automatically?

Yes. Subtitles are generated from the speech and burned into every clip. You pick a style with a live preview; no separate subtitle tool is needed.

Which languages are supported?

Subtitles and titles work in many languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian and Arabic. A few scripts are not supported yet (for example Hebrew, Thai and most Indic languages); in that case generation is refused with an explanation and nothing is charged.

What layouts are available?

Auto (default: Vyexa looks at the scene and picks the framing), Full, split layouts for podcasts and interviews, Stream (webcam plus gameplay) and Education (a slide or screen on top with the speaker below).

Are titles added to clips?

Yes. Vyexa writes a short title for each clip from what is actually said in it and burns it into the video. You can edit the text or style in the editor.

Can swear words be censored?

Yes, as an opt-in setting in your account: swear words are masked in the subtitles and bleeped in the audio. It is off by default.

Plans, watermark and pricing

Is Vyexa free?

There is a Free plan without a card: 20 clips and 200 source minutes a month, each source up to 90 minutes, HD export. Free clips carry a Vyexa watermark.

How do I remove the watermark?

The watermark is removed on paid options: the one-time $5 pack (40 clips for 30 days) or a Creator ($15 a month) or Pro ($29 a month) plan. See the Pricing page for current prices in your region.

What is the difference between Creator and Pro?

Creator gives 120 clips and 1,500 source minutes a month; Pro gives 300 clips and 4,000 source minutes. Both remove the watermark. Subtitles, titles, 9:16 reframing and face tracking are available on every plan.

Am I charged for clips I did not receive?

The count you request is a maximum. If Vyexa finds 23 strong moments out of the 30 you asked for, you receive 23 clips. If a generation fails or the result looks wrong, contact us and we will look at that job.

Can I get a refund?

The conditions are described on the Refund page. If something went wrong with a generation, contact us and we will look at that job.

Publishing, API and support

Does Vyexa post the clips to TikTok, YouTube or Instagram?

No. You download the finished vertical clips and publish them yourself, so you stay in control of captions, timing and accounts.

Is there an API?

Yes, a public REST API for creating jobs from a link or file. See the API documentation for authentication and examples.

Is there a Telegram bot?

Yes. The bot can make a vertical clip right in Telegram; the web app gives you full control over clip count, layouts, subtitles and the editor.

How do I contact support?

Use the Contact page. Send the link to the job or the source if something looks wrong; it makes the answer much faster.
