Vyexa vs OpusClip: clips, not minutes

Both turn a long video into vertical shorts. The difference is what you pay for: Vyexa counts the clips you get, OpusClip prices in credits, and its pricing page does not say what one credit covers.

Below: public prices with the date they were checked, an honest per-clip calculation, what the API and MCP give you, and what Vyexa does not do.

No card. Free clips carry a Vyexa watermark.

OpusClip prices are as shown on opus.pro/pricing on 19 October 2026. The page does not say how many minutes or credits each plan includes, or whether it counts clips, so we give no per-clip or per-minute price for it. We will add one when it can be confirmed.

Example: Vyexa price for 10 clips

  • 10 clips cost $1.25 on Creator ($15 for 120 clips) and $0.97 on Pro ($29 for 300 clips).
  • OpusClip prices in credits (its pricing page does not say what one credit covers); Vyexa counts clips. Vyexa also keeps a monthly pool of source minutes (Free 200, Creator 1500, Pro 4000).

API and MCP for agents

  • REST API v1: POST /api/v1/jobs takes a video link (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Vimeo, Twitch or a direct file URL) and returns a job; poll it and read the clips. Auth is a Bearer key.
  • MCP server at /mcp (Streamable HTTP, same key) with four tools: create_clips, get_job, list_clips, get_options. OpenAPI spec at /openapi.json.
  • It works on the Free plan on the same terms as the website: same 20 clips a month, one job at a time, source up to 90 minutes, watermark. A custom logo on clips is paid-only.
  • OpusClip's pricing page (19 October 2026) lists a Video Editing API, Scheduler API and MCP connector on Pro and Business, and none of them on Free or Starter.
  • Not built: Zapier and a scheduler API.
