# Vyexa > AI tool that turns long horizontal videos into vertical short clips. Vyexa converts long-form horizontal video into vertical 9:16 short clips ready for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and Facebook Reels. Available as a web app and a Telegram bot. **What Vyexa does** - AI auto-detects viral / highlight moments in long-form video. - Generates vertical 9:16 clips ready for short-form platforms. - Auto-generates burned-in subtitles in multiple languages. - Auto-generated hook title on top of the clip; title and subtitle style are chosen in the Clip Constructor on Clip Setup (/content/workflow/setup) right after upload. - Output is ready for: TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels. **Web app vs Telegram bot** - Web app (https://vyexa.net) — the full product: AI finds the best moments, produces several ready shorts from one video, burns in subtitles, crops to 9:16 with selectable layouts, and gives the Clip Constructor (fonts, title style, subtitle style and position, nine highlight colours plus two-colour combos). Link import and the public REST API are web-side only. - Telegram bot (Vyexa Shorts) — a quick free try from the phone: send a video file (up to 200 MB) and the bot finds the best moments itself and returns ready vertical shorts with subtitles, about 30 seconds each. No settings, no layout or style choice. - Only in the bot: working entirely inside Telegram, no signup, upload straight from a chat. - Only in the web app: long sources and link import, choosing how many clips and how long, layout choice, the full Clip Constructor, the REST API and the clip library. - They do not share a balance: the web app and the API run on monthly plans, while the bot cuts one video into vertical shorts for free — once per person, not per day, no signup; after that it points you to the web app. **Plans and prices** - Free — $0, 20 clips per month and up to 200 minutes of source video per month. Output carries a Vyexa watermark. - Creator — $15 per month, 120 clips per month and up to 1500 minutes of source video per month. No watermark. - Pro — $29 per month, 300 clips per month and up to 4000 minutes of source video per month. No watermark. - Prices are in USD; some countries see a regional discount in local currency on the pricing page. - Monthly for ALL plans (free and paid). Each plan is a monthly allotment of videos that refreshes every month; unused videos do NOT roll over to the next month. A paid plan lasts 30 days and returns to Free if not renewed. - The Telegram bot is not a paid product: the bot cuts one video into vertical shorts for free — once per person, not per day, no signup; after that it points you to the web app. There is no paid plan and no credits inside the bot — the website and the API run on the monthly plans above. **Clip length by plan** - Free plan: 30 s per clip. - Creator plan: 30 s or 50 s per clip. - Pro plan: 30 s, 50 s or 90 s per clip. - On the website the length is picked in Advanced settings on Clip Setup and the picker only offers what the plan allows. In the API it is the segment_duration field, and a value outside the plan is rejected with a 422 error instead of being silently changed. - The Telegram bot is a separate case: its free shorts run about 30 seconds each. That number does not apply to the web app. **How to get a video in** - Sign in at https://vyexa.net and upload a video file — MP4, MOV, AVI or MKV, up to 3 GB per file. - Or paste a link to the video on the same upload page and Vyexa downloads the source for you — YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Vimeo, Twitch and other platforms, or a direct link to a video file. You do not have to download anything by hand. Link import is available on every plan, including Free. - Link import has a daily cap: 10 imports a day on Free, 20 a day on paid plans, plus a short cooldown between two uploads (60 s on Free, 5 s on paid). - Before importing you confirm that you own the video or have permission to process it. - Or send it through the API: POST /api/v1/jobs with a Bearer key and {"url": "...", "num_clips": 3}, then poll status_url until the job is completed. Keys are issued in the dashboard, docs at https://vyexa.net/api-docs. - In the Telegram bot you send the video file straight into the chat (Telegram caps bot files at 200 MB). **Limits and watermark** - Free plan source video: up to 90 minutes long. Paid plans use the standard app limits, with streams up to about 5 hours. - File size: up to 3 GB for an uploaded file and for a link import (Twitch VODs up to 12 GB, because they often ship as one huge rendition). For a long stream that would not fit, the download quality is lowered automatically. - Link import quality: Free downloads the source at 720p; paid plans take the best quality that fits the size limit. - Free accounts run one generation at a time; paid plans run several in parallel. - Watermark: only free output is watermarked, and it is not burned in from the first second — by default the vyexa.net mark first fades in around second 15 and then shows briefly about every 45 seconds, so a clip shorter than roughly 19 seconds comes out clean. Accounts flagged for farming the free plan from duplicate registrations see it from the 3rd second. Any paid plan removes it entirely. - The number of clips you ask for is a ceiling, not a promise: fewer strong moments means fewer clips, and clips that are not delivered are not charged. **Subtitle languages** - Subtitles are generated in the language of the source video. Supported source languages: English, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Czech, Slovak, Romanian, Hungarian, Turkish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Greek, Bulgarian, Serbian, Croatian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Slovenian, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean — i.e. Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic and CJK scripts. **What Vyexa does not do** - Vyexa does not generate video from scratch — it only works with moments inside the source video you provide. - Live streaming is not supported: the source must be an uploaded or downloaded file, not a live broadcast. - No voice cloning, dubbing, stock footage or background music library. - No native mobile app — only the web app and the Telegram bot. - The Telegram bot has no manual modes: it does not split a video into equal parts or cut by timecode — it picks the moments itself. **FAQ** - How do I turn a podcast or interview into shorts? Upload the episode (or paste its link) at https://vyexa.net, let the AI pick the strongest moments, choose the Split layout so both speakers stay visible, and download the finished vertical clips. - Do I have to download the video myself first? No. Paste the link on the upload page and Vyexa downloads the source for you; uploading your own file works too. - Can I make shorts from a YouTube video? Yes — paste the video link on the upload page, or send it to the API as the url field. - What languages do subtitles support? Subtitles follow the language of the source video and cover Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic and CJK scripts — English, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Turkish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and more. Hebrew, Bengali, Urdu and Thai are refused rather than subtitled badly, and Hindi runs only as a limited pilot. - What do I get for free? 20 videos a month on the web Free plan, clips 30 s long, source video up to 90 minutes, a light vyexa.net watermark and no credit card. On top of that the Telegram bot (Vyexa Shorts) cuts one video into vertical shorts for free — once per person, not per day, no signup; after that it points you to the web app. - How long is one clip? 30 s on Free, 30 s or 50 s on Creator, 30 s, 50 s or 90 s on Pro. - Do I need to install anything?
